Important groups of secondary metabolic enzymes; Significance of secondary metabolism and products for the producer organism. Regulation and expression of secondary metabolism; regulation of enzyme activity; regulation of enzyme amount; integration with differentiation and development; action of inducers; coordinated enzyme expression and sequential gene expression.
