CY51001 Spectroscopic Methods of Structure Determination(3-1-0: 4 credits) Prerequisite : Nil Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy: 1H-, 13C-, 19F-, 15N-, and 31P-NMR, introduction to 2D- NMR techniques, lanthanide shift. Mass spectroscopy: EI, CI, ESI, FAB, GC/MS, LC/MS and MS/MS techniques. Interpretation of spectroscopic (NMR, IR and mass) data, as applied to organic, inorganic and biological systems.
