Properties of bulk material vis-a-vis different bulk handling operations; Classification of bulk material transportation systems, Design, operation and maintenance aspects of mine hoist, belt conveyors and chain conveyors, Hydraulic and pneumatic conveying; Stacking, blending and reclaiming of bulk materials; Automation and online monitoring of bulk material handling system. Design of storage system: Silos, bins and bunkers; Rapid loading system, Merrygo-round system.
