Case studies : examplesmelting behavior of additions in steel melts, homogenization of liquid steel by gas purging, fluid flow, heat transfer and solidification characteristics during welding, continuous casting of steel etc.Numerical Technique and computer applications : Solution of partial differential equations by Control Volume Technique: Discretization of differential equations, solution algorithm, Staggered grids, Gauss Seidel, TDMA solver.
