Discrete and continuous random variables and associated distributions, moments. Markov Models, Poisson process. Several random variables, moment generating functions. Estimation Theory, several estimators and their properties. Solution of differential equations arising in reliability studies, Laplace transform methods. Random number generation, Monte Carlo simulation.
