Usage
This template can be used to insert the {{Dead link}} template using the current date (i.e., {{Dead link|date=April 2025}}).
Always subst: this template. Unfortunately it either must be used just after a <ref>...</ref> or must be substituted first then at the end of the <ref>...</ref> tags' marked up content, since the tags thwart the ability of MediaWiki to act on subst: for some reason.
