Concepts of geo-spatial images, image formats, geo-registraion and coding, concepts of laser and radar images of the geospace, capture of laser and radar data and their processing for 3D object and pattern recognition. Introduction to random vectors, detection problems (binary decision problems), likelihood ratio tests. Fundamental concepts of geo-informatics, concepts of regionalized variables and spatial data in micro and macro domains, concepts of spatiotemporal data analysis, introduction to logistic regression, weight of evidence, fuzzy set theory and application to spatial data modeling.
