Interaction of ocean structure with waves and other environmental excitations linear and non linear analysis of wave, current and wind induced forces on fixed offshore structures - TLP, jacket platforms, gravity structures, underwater cables. Dynamics and stability of single point mooring and towed systems. Dynamics of marine risers. Response of marine vehicles and floating platforms to wave action. Frequency and time domain analysis of rigid body motions in six degrees of freedom. Random wave effects and spectral analysis. Higher order wave effects - drift forces and slow drift oscillations. Station keeping and water impact due to entry/exit. Introduction to numerical methods to determine wave effects.
